History beckons with the offering of this 1948 World Series Game 5 ticket stub. On October 10, 1948, at Cleveland Municipal Stadium, Satchel Paige entered the record books as the first Black pitcher to appear in a World Series game. Paige came on in relief of starter Bob Feller in the seventh inning of Game 5, recording two outs and a balk in the only World Series appearance of his storied career. While the Cleveland Indians lost this game to the Boston Braves by a score of 11-5, they clinched the franchise's second World Series championship the very next day.
