Bag a vintage delight with the capture of this 1948 Vis-Ed Big League Baseball Viewer set. A state of the art novelty at the time of issue, this set includes a plastic baseball viewer, (10) slides and the original factory box. Though somewhat curled, the slides report in attractive condition, with distinct images and text. These handsome slide cards feature 1948 Pacific Coast League stars, with: (5) Hollywood stars: Gus Zerniakl, Lou Stringer, Al Libke, Lou Kahn, Don Ross; and (5) Los Angeles Angels: Larry Barton, Bill Schuster, Eddie Malone, Cece Garriott, Al Glossop. Outfitted with a retractable eye piece, slots for slide insertion and an opaque panel for light entry, the viewer is clean and attractive with a distinct logo. Attrition has taken its toll on the box, which has two detached flaps, considerable tears on two side panels, and is absent the lid flap. Despite these conditions, the graphics on the box remain appealing.
