Description

The Year of the Tiger roars back into view, with the presentation of this 1968 World Series Game 2 full ticket. The 1968 Fall Classic was exactly that, with the determined Detroit Tigers taking on the reigning MLB champions, the St. Louis Cardinals, in a seven-game thriller. Played on October 3rd at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, this Game 2 saw Series MVP Mickey Lolich earn the first of his three complete games wins during this magnificent postseason brawl. Fireworks were provided by Willie Horton, Norm Cash, and Lolich himself, with each of these Tigers' stars connecting for a solo home run. Lolich's third inning blast was the only homer of his highly respectable career, and it proved to be the game-winning hit in the Tigers 8-1 victory. PSA has graded this nicely preserved full ticket EX-MT 6.
