Longtime Philadelphia Athletics owner-manager Connie Mack wrote this letter ninety years ago, while on a road trip against the St. Louis Browns. Written in Mack's graceful hand, this correspondence dated June 22, 1938, appears on a sheet of letterhead from the Hotel Chase of St. Louis. In the content, Mack discusses transportation arrangements for an upcoming trip to Burlington, Vermont, to attend a banquet across Lake Champlain, in Plattsburgh, New York. The letter is addressed to Mr. McNulty, who was to pick Mack up with his car. Mack (HOF, d.1956) has concluded this handwritten letter with a firm signature, destined for prominent display.
