Witness the business of baseball in action, by examining this Washington Senators framed display. Housed within this attractive 20" x16" display, are a typed letter signed, a signed trading card, and a Perez-Steele postcard. Dated January 4, 1938, is a cover letter for a contract offer from team owner Clark Griffith (HOF, d.1955) to pitcher Monte Weaver in the amount of $5,000 for the 1938 season. In the content, Griffith states "This is a little increase over last season and I hope it will satisfy you". Griffith has signed this letter sharply. Weaver (d.1994) has signed decently over a retro 1993 Conlon baseball card, and the Perez-Steele card depicts "the Old Fox".
