Renowned sportswriter Grantland Rice speaks out from the past, with the signed index card. Typed on this medium cream 3x5 card is Rice's most famous quote "For when the One Great Scorer comes to mark against your name, He writes --not that you won or lost--but how you played the Game". Known in his day as the "Dean of American Sports Writers", Rice (d.1954) has signed boldly and gracefully below the quote.
