The founder and first president of the American League, Byron Bancroft “Ban” Johnson died in 1931.

This 8 ½ x 11 typewritten letter (VG-EX) on “American League Professional Base Ball Clubs - Fisher Building, Chicago” stationery reads:

Chicago, Ills., Sept. 9th, 1915.

Sec’y., Base Ball Club,

New York City, N.Y.
