Recall a squad known as the "Daffy Dodgers", with the perusal of this 1937 Brooklyn Dodgers team-signed sheet. It was rough going for devoted Brooklyn fans during the 1930s, as their beloved team turned in six consecutive losing seasons from 1933-1938, setting the table for Willard Mullin's inspirational nickname "Dem Bums". Sized at 5" x 5", this fairly crisp sheet hosts a total of (19) sharp signatures, including Hall of Famers Waite Hoyt and Heinie Manush.
The complete list of signers is: "Gibby" Brack (d.1960), Heinie Manush (HOF, d.1971), Roy Henshaw, Ed Froelich with "Trainer" inscription, Fred Frankhouse, John Winsett (d.1987), Watson Clark (d.1972), "Babe" Phelps, Jim Bucher, Harry Lavagetto, Luke Hamlin (d.1978), Waite Hoyt (HOF, d.1984), Roy Spencer (d.1973), Ben Cantwell (d.1962), Eddie Wilson (d.1979), Paul Chervinko (d.1976), "Red" Brown (d.1967), Joe Stripp (d.1989), John Cooney (d.1986).
