Description
A great rivalry is recalled with this 1978 75th World Series sign. This memorable Fall classic featured the New York Yankees versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. The first World Series meeting of these prominent teams came way back in 1941. In all, they have battled for baseball supremacy twelve times, with the most recent occasion being 2024. Sized at 32” x 30”, this captivating posterboard sign announced the 75th playing of the World Series in big, bold, black lettering on a stark white background, with the MLB logo positioned at top, to ensure viewers knew what they were seeing. A couple of riveted hanging holes are positioned at the top corners, and wear is confined to the perimeter, mainly along the top edge, which bears several dings that could be concealed by judicious framing.
