Description

Presented is a 1950s Shields Fifth Avenue Brooklyn Dodgers Bum porcelain ashtray. This famous department store decorative shows bold colors, pleasing gloss and just minor touches of wear. Light crazing is noted on the base, and there are several small chips, with one on top of the hat, another on the left lapel, a third on the top edge of the pants pouch, and fourth below the right elbow, leading to an Ex rating for this 10" ceramic icon. A smoker's delight, this vintage treasure is outfitted with a basket on the back for cigarettes, a left side pocket for matches, a droopy pants ashtray pouch at front, and a second ashtray located on top of the base.
