Having avenged their 1955 World Series loss to the Brooklyn Dodgers, the 1956 New York Yankees added a dash of heartbreak to Flatbush by beating the National League contenders 4-3 games to capture an unprecedented 17th Fall Classic title. This scarce 1956 New York World Champions tri-fold team photo survived the Bronx celebration. The blue tint team picture (paper stock) measures 10-15/16 x 8-1/2" and pictures 36 members of the championship squad including the following Hall of Famers and stars: Berra, Crosetti (coach), Dickey (coach), Ford, E. Howard, Larsen (Game 5 perfect game), Mantle, B. Martin, Skowron, Slaughter and Stengel (manager). Presents in overall (EX to NM) condition with mostly crisp compacting folds and a clean facsimile autograph back.
