A golden period of New York City baseball is chronicled in this 1947-1957 Yankees, Dodgers and Giants program collection (43). During this eleven-season stretch, the three New York teams accounted for seventeen of the possible twenty-two AL and NL pennants, with nine for the Yankees, six for the Dodgers, and two for the Giants, putting the Big Apple firmly at the center of the baseball universe. As for the World Series, the Giants won in 1954, the Dodgers won in 1955, and the Yankees won most of the rest.
