Publication specialists hit paydirt, with the discovery of this 1947-1957 Brooklyn Dodgers yearbook collection (11). Gathered with an eye for quality, these vintage yearbooks are all pleasing examples. The very first Brooklyn Dodgers yearbook was published in 1941. Three more editions were issued during the 1940s, in 1942, 1947 and 1949. Starting with the 1949 edition, Dodgers yearbooks became an annual thing at Ebbets Field through 1957, right up until the "Bums" moved west to Los Angeles for the 1958 season. In all, Brooklyn Dodgers yearbooks were issued for twelve different seasons, and the offered collection constitutes a near-complete run (10/12), plus (1) extra 1951 edition. A big part of the charm found in this collection, comes from the cover art by Willard Mullin depicting the famous Bum mascot on 1951-1957 editions.
