Incredible Display Piece! Exceptional Lou Gehrig signed original pencil portrait sketch that was carefully crafted by a young fan, submitted to the New York Yankees Hall of Famer, and returned with a personalized salutation. Entitled "Iron Man Lou," the drawing was mounted on a black album page that measures nearly 7-1/4 x 10-1/2" with clipped corners and moderate perimeter notching along with a 1/2" tear on the left fold line. The black steel-tip fountain pen autograph is exceptionally clear and preceded by a "Best Wishes Oliver" salutation. A magnificent piece of period art that couples a fan's adoration with an important autograph of a legend whose name transcends our national pastime. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
