Description

Dave Concepcion Louisville Slugger signature-model ("K55") bat dating from the 1980-1983 manufacturing period. Graded GU 8.5 by PSA/DNA. The PSA/DNA letter states, in part: "exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a crack in the back barrel. There is checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers and white leather scuffs." Concepcion has scripted his name in gold ink at the end of the barrel twice, once boldly below the Louisville Slugger stamp and once, more finely, above the K55 model number (only the larger bold signature has been authenticated by JSA). A red label bearing Concepcion's player number "13" has been affixed to the knob. Concepcion played his entire career with the Cincinnati Reds, playing in nine All-Star Games , winning two World Series', five Gold-Gloves, and two Silver Sluggers. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32.0 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (bat only, a corresponding sticker is affixed to the end of the barrel) and full LOA from James Spence/JSA (large autograph only). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
