Eddie Murray game-used Cooper signature-model bat ("C243") dating from the 1987-1988 manufacturing period. Graded GU 9 by PSA/DNA. The bat displays evidence of excellent use, including ball marks on the cracked barrel and blue bat rack streaks. Murray's uniform number ("33") appears on both the knob (red-ink) and barrel end (black-ink). The knob also has printed length and weight measurements at "35 1/2" and "34 OZ" Murray has signed the barrel in blue ink. One of only four players in history to ever amass 3,000 hits and 500 home runs, Murray finished his 21-year career with 3,255 hits (thirteenth all-time), 504 home runs (twenty-fifth all time), and a .287 average. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003, his first year of eligibility. Length: 35.5 inches. Weight: 34.4 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (for the bat only). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the signature only). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
