Description

Jason Giambi Louisville Slugger signature-model bat ("G174") dating from the circa 2003 manufacturing period. Graded GU 7 by PSA/DNA. The bat displays evidence of light use, including black bat rack streaks. Giambi has signed the barrel in blue ink, adding "Game Used" directly below his signature. The manufacturing period of the bat dates to roughly Giambi's second season with the Yankees, one where he crushed forty-one homers and drove in 107 runs while leading the league in walks. One of the most feared hitters of his era, Giambi finished his twenty-year career with over 2,000 hits, 440 home runs, and more than 1,400 RBI's. He was named to five consecutive All-Star Games between 2000 and 2004, was a Silver Slugger in 2001 and 2002, and earned American League MVP honors in 2000. Length: 33.875 inches. Weight: 31.2 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (for the bat only, the certification sticker has been affixed to the back of the handle). Full LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the signature only, a JSA certification sticker has been affixed to the knob). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
