Description

“My Kind of Town” sang Frank Sinatra, because every town wishes they had two baseball teams. This group of (6) pennants includes (4) from the Chicago White Sox and (2) from the Chicago Cubs. Condition averages Excellent with the usual pinholes.

Chicago Cubs:

1969 “Cub Power” photo-pennant featuring Cubs favorites Billy Williams, Ernie Banks and Ron Santo.

“Chicago Cubs” pennant featuring the Cub and Wrigley Field.

Chicago White Sox:

“1959 American League Champs Chicago White Sox” featuring a scroll of the team names, and a batter in Comiskey Park.

“Chicago White Sox 1959 American League Champs” white on red style pennant with scroll of player names.

(2) blue on white Chicago White Sox pennants featuring hitter in Comiskey Park (one of them cartoon style).

Before the day when you displayed your loyalty with expensive team merchandise, waving a simple felt pennant was the classic way for a fan to support their team. The pennants in this group come from the estate of Mike Cubbage.
