The highlight of this group of pennants from the formative years of this historic franchise is a World Series pennant from 1963 “L.A. Dodgers vs N.Y. Yankees” in Excellent condition. The red and white on blue background banner is from the year they swept the hated Yankees in four games to become world champions. The group also includes a pennant from their Brooklyn days, with the Brooklyn Bum’s clown face, no tassels, in Excellent condition, as well as three early Los Angeles Dodgers pennants, including one still featuring "the bum" in Chavez Ravine/Dodger Stadium. Those (3) pennants average VG-EX, one has reattached tassels.
Before the day when you displayed your loyalty with expensive team merchandise, waving a simple felt pennant was the classic way for a fan to support his team. The pennants in this group come from the estate of Mike Cubbage.
