The current Atlanta Braves had a relatively short period of calling Milwaukee home, but there was a glorious high point during their Upper Midwest tenure, that came when they beat the mighty New York Yankees in the 1957 World Series. From Milwaukee County Stadium, comes this 1957 World Series Game 3 ticket stub. Though the Braves suffered a 12-3 drubbing at hands of the Yankees in this game, they came back strong, to win the Series in seven tough games. Game 3 was punctuated by Yankees legend Mickey Mantle, who hit his 9th career World Series home run in the fourth inning. Mantle's rookie teammate Tony Kubek also homered for the Yankees, and Braves great Hank Aaron countered with a two-run homer in the fifth and a single in the ninth. PSA has rated this vintage stub VG-EX 4.
