In his typewritten letter to Mr. L.S. (Larry) MacPhail “Vice President - Cincinnati Base Ball Club Co. Crosley Field – Cincinnati” on “BASEBALL” stationery “Kenesaw M. Landis Commissioner - Leslie M. O'Connor Secretary/Treasurer - Michigan Ave Chicago” dated April 27, 1934, Commissioner Landis is admonishing MacPhail about his failure to send a $4000 payment for a player contract transfer and for not responding to a letter he wrote. He ends, “Very truly yours,” and adds a Kennesaw Landis signature in black fountain pen (“9-10”).
