Description
This rare Type-I photo shows Jackie Robinson making a diving catch in front of the furniture sign in Ebbetts Field. Written on the back is “Jackie Robinson 8/8/54 Dodgers.” If this photo is from the game on that date, “Dem Bums” scored 13 runs in the eighth inning as they won 20-7.
This photo has LIFE Magazine-style and size format, but no back stampings and is slightly wider. The photo has a crease near the upper right-hand corner and grades VG-EX but presents much nicer.
