Lot # 1375: 1960s Roger Maris Louis Requena Original Photograph

New York Yankees slugger Roger Maris looms large in this 1960s photograph by Louis Requena. This original 8" x 10" black and white, glossy photograph is the result of a creative special effect, that makes Maris look big enough to take on Godzilla, in a scene that looks as though Yankee Stadium can't contain. In a sense, the famous Bronx venue couldn't contain Maris, as he launched numerous blasts out of the iconic ballpark. Obviously taken at the height of his career, this original photograph reports in Vg+ condition, with deference to a couple of slivers of tape on the edges, that do not contact the image area.
