One of baseball's most colorful characters is spolighted, with the presenation of this "Dizzy" Dean signed 1934 Associated Press photograph. This 6" x 8" photo pictures Dean with his brother Paul during the 1934 season, which saw the Dean brothers help the St. Louis Cardinals "Ganhouse Gang" squad win the World Series. Dean (HOF, d.1974) has signed boldly across his jersey. The photograph remains pleasing despite moderate wear. Though the AP credit stamp in blacked out on the reverse, the news service has been identified, and the date "1934" remains visible.
