Count yourself a big winner, when you score this Winter, 1946-1947 Timely Comics All Winners #21 issue. Cited as a "Scarce" issue by the leading comic book guide, this post-war treasure reports in an outstanding state of preservation, recognized by CGC with a grade designation of 8.5, Off-White Pages. This lofty rating ranks this vibrant comic as "1 of 3" at the 8.5 tier, with just 12 higher, out of a total Universal Grade population of 77.
As the title implies, this Golden Age treasure stars a lineup of Timely Comics leading super-heroes of the WWII-era, with Captain America, Sub-Mariner, Human Torch, Bucky Barnes, Toro, Miss America, and Whizzer forming the All Winners Squad.
All good things must come to an end, and with the war over, the super-hero genre was waning in popularity, so this #21 issue was the last published for this glorious title. Legendary creators are noted, and the cover is a classic, with the Squad coming in force to the rescue of a fair lady in bondage. Label notes are "Otto Binder story, Al Avison, Syd Shores and Vince Alascia art. All-Winners Squad appearance. Bondage cover. Last issue."
