Description

A captivating cover recommends this 11/46 Timely Comics Captain America Comics #59 issue. The war was over, and there were no more Axis powers to fight, so super-hero comics were exploring other avenues. This one teases "The Private Life of Captain America" on the front cover, luring readers with an iconic cover, and the promise of a look at the lifestyle of Steve Rogers. This Golden Age comic also retells the origin story of how the frail Rogers from Manhattan's Lower East Side, became a super soldier in the fight for freedom. Taking part in the creation of this vintage comic, are the great Carmine Infantino, and Syd Shores.

Three hole punches near the spine were examined prior to grading submission, and they pass through the margins of the pages only, without affecting the artwork, or story. CGC has furnished a grade of 3.0, Cream to Off-White Pages, in a Universal Grade holder. If not for the hole punches, this handsome comic would have graded in the 6.5 to 7.0 range, it's that attractive. Label notes are "Carmine Infantino and Vince Alascia art, Syd Shores cover and art. Origin of Captain America retold. Human Torch story.".
