Description

Havoc breaks out on a moving picture production stage, as seen on the front of this 3/46 Timely Comics Captain America Comics #54 issue. Most of the thugs are engaged in a shootout, while the brainy one from this bunch of masked bandits tries to make off with the movie's voluptuous leading lady. Captain America and Bucky play their hero roles to perfection, putting the kibosh on the villains' plans, and the set soundman chips in an assist, by knocking one of the bad guys over the head with a handy microphone stand. Alex Schmoburg rendered this colorful chaos, delivering one of his many compelling covers. We certainly would have plunked our dime down, upon discovering this this thriller on a newsstand.
