Description

This circa 1949 Philadelphia Athletics cap, size 7 ½ by Rawlings, is royal blue, 100% wool, with no player identifier. Cap shell is in Good to Excellent condition, but the white leather sweatband is quite deteriorated. Embroidered Old English “A” is centered on the two front panels. The visor is still quite pliable. The Philadelphia A's wore this style cap 1942-49. The collectability of any Philadelphia A's uniform artifact is exceptionally high, and this style in particular. Comes with Full LOA from Phil Wood.
