Description

The only player ever to bat .400 and hit 40 home runs in the same season. Rogers Hornsby is considered one of the greatest right-handed hitters of all time. He's pictured here with three of his teammates during spring training in 1928. The 8x10 news service photo dated March 6, 1928, has the usual production markings on the back, as well as the caption from the newspaper it was used in pasted on. It says, “EX-GIANTS. But now holding meal tickets with the Boston Braves in spring training at St. Petersburgh, FL. Left to right, Eddie Farrell, Kent Greenfield, Rogers Hornsby, Zack Taylor. P&A Photo.” The photo presents well and is in Good to Very Good condition.
