Description

From the personal collection of longtime Baltimore/Washington DC sports broadcaster Phil Wood, comes this Fred Lynn 1988 game-used bat. Lynn stepped to the plate with this bat in his hands, while playing for the Baltimore Orioles. Wood was hosting a pre-game show for WCBM Radio, when he was gifted this bat by Lynn after recording an interview. In the accompanying LOA, Wood states he mentioned to Lynn he was a baseball memorabilia collector. Lynn offered him his choice of a new or used bat, and Wood requested this gamer.

Finished in black, this Rawlings Adirondack Pro Ring Big Stick Fred Lynn Professional Model bat shows a tremendous degree of authentic use. The barrel is extensively covered with numerous contact marks, cleat impressions and bat rack streaks. Slight checking is also noted and there's a band of tape on the lower handle and pine tar residue on the upper handle. Lynn's Orioles uniform number "19" is written in silver on the knob, which is impressed with the model number "DD26".

Phil Wood LOP.
