Description

Solid MLB starter Derek Lowe makes a pitch for your attention, with the offering of this game-used 2011 Atlanta Braves road jersey. Lowe was a key man when the Boston Red Sox finally lifted "The Curse of the Bambino", getting the series clinching wins in the 2004 ALDS, ALCS and World Series. Lowe still had plenty in the tank when he landed with the Braves, racking up a 40-39 record from 2009-2011. As noted on the MLB Authentication site, Lowe wore this jersey on September 5, 2001, in an away game at the Philadelphia Phillies.

This lightly used jersey takes the bidding field in very attractive condition. Seen on the front is Atlanta Braves lettering, underscored by a dynamic tomahawk. Partially overlapping the Majestic MLB Authentic factory label on the front-left tail, is an identifier tag embroidered with "50 '11 S3", for size, season and uniform set number. Lowe's nameplate, number 32 and an MLB logo patch occupy a good portion of the real estate on the back. Revered sportscaster and 1950s Boston/Milwaukee Braves pitcher Ernie Johnson Sr. passed away on August 12, 2011. A commemorative patch on the left sleeve was worn in Johnson's honor from August 21, 2011, through the end of the season.

MLB hologram sticker.
