Founding Father George Washington gets a lasting tribute, with this 1999 $5 gold proof coin. This deep cameo commemorative proof coin honors our Revolutionary War hero and first president with a relief profile image on the obverse, and a Heraldic Eagle adorns the reverse. Reporting in pristine state, this coin was struck at the West Point Mint in a quantity of 41,693 pieces. The weight is 8.359 grams, the composition is 90% gold, 10% alloy, and the actual gold content is 0.24 troy ounce. Accompanying are the original U.S. Mint presentation case, box and COA.
