Introduced in 1974 in the pages of The Incredible Hulk #180 and #181, Wolverine got around often enough, but always as a team member, or guest star. Developed by writer Chris Claremont and artist Frank Miller, the 1982 Wolverine Limited Series proved a great success, propelling the mutant super-hero's popularity to the top of the charts. Fronted with an iconic cover, the #1 issue from this four-issue series is counted as Wolverine's first solo comic.
