Description

Willie Mays says hey, with this signed broadside. This vintage 12" x 15" promoter is captioned on the bottom border with "as seen in SPORT MAGAZINE", followed by a large number "2" at the bottom-right corner. Mays has signed distinctly to the right of the caption, with the letter "W" of his signature overlapping one of the printed caption letters. A few minor abrasions along the right edge of the image area are unobtrusive, and the corners show moderate wear that could readily be matted over. A search for other examples of this vintage advertising piece, indicates it is scarce. This one presents handsomely, with deference to the corner wear.
