Graded GU 8 by PSA/DNA. Bobby Burke was not only a member of the 1933 American League Champion Washington Senators, but the southpaw pitcher also twirled a no-hitter against the Boston Red Sox in 1931. The veteran hurler trades a glove for some lumber with the offered 1933 game-used bat. This professional model Hillerich & Bradsby lumber measures 32-1/2"/33.8 ounces. The flamed burned ash club is uncracked and exhibits heavy usage with checking (grain swelling) on the back barrel that has been repaired with nails. Additionally, a small chip is missing from the knob. Ball marks and stitch impressions are scattered throughout. Cleat impressions can be seen on the left and front barrels. Factory side writing is illegible on the left barrel. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
