For the ultimate Joe DiMaggio fan, we present this 1932 San Francisco Seals season pass booklet from his first season of professional play. A Pacific Coast League franchise, the Seals competed just one level below Major League Baseball. As noted by a written entry on the front cover, this pass was issued to Harry C. Noe, a reporter for the San Francisco Call/Bulletin. Seals president Charles H. Strub (d.1958) has boldly signed at bottom-right on the front of this booklet No. 164 (no authentication due to time/cost restraints). Thirty-nine of the one hundred games coupons contained in this booklet are present and securely attached. Coupons numbers 1-61 have been removed, and coupons numbers 62-100 remain.
Now for the really good part. New York Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio made his professional debut during the 1932 Seals marathon 186-season, which ended with a record of 96-90. Still a teenager at the age of seventeen, DiMaggio played the final three games of the season for the Seals, delivering a double and a triple in nine at-bats. As the coupons in this booklet are for late season games, surely DiMaggio's earliest professional appearances are represented. This fairly solid booklet has a tight spine, a clean front cover, and well-preserved game coupons. The back cover bears some faint writing, and vertical ripples that correspond to the location of the perforations on the interior coupon strips are noted on the front and back covers.
