Genuine scarcity and superior quality promote these (2) 1910 Boston Red Sox player photographs as a sweet find. The featured subjects are Heinie Wagner and Doc Moskiman. Identically sized at 4" x 7-1/2", these antique photographs are housed in their in their original photography studio folders, with linen backerboards. Maybe the fact they have remained covered for well over a hundred years can explain their outstanding state of preservation. Though the Moskiman photograph has a minute surface chip on the left edge, these heavy stock portraits remain razor sharp and remarkably clean. Having totaled just eleven MLB plate appearances with the 1910 Red Sox, Moskiman presents a considerable challenge in regard to finding another example of this photograph online or anywhere in the known universe. Wagner enjoyed a twelve-year MLB career and was a World Series champion with the Red Sox. Despite his longevity, discovering another example of this Wagner photograph has proven equally challenging as Moskiman. These ancient photographs obviously came from a set. While images of other players from this set were found, none were in such high-grade condition, and none were found mounted in folders.
