Description

This photo is dated 1931, three years before Primo Carnera won the Heavyweight Championship. Best known for his immense size, he was one of the most physically imposing heavyweights in boxing history weighing in at more than 275 lbs. This 11x14 sepia tone photograph (“GD+) is accompanied by a Full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA that grades the autograph, “8.” The inscription above it is written in an unknown hand and reads, “Ashbury park NJ October 1 1931 - To My dear friend Mr. Carl H. Bischoff.”
