Description

Head back to Joe Louis' lengthy reign as heavyweight champion of the world, with these (2) 1930s-1940s pins. One of the greatest champions of all-time, Louis ruled the heavyweight division from 1937-1949. Both of these vintage 1-3/4" diameter pins depict the "Brown Bomber" in his prime. One pin with a full-length boxing pose photograph has a surface crack that passes through the legend "World Champion", without making contact with the lettering. With deference to the crack, this pin otherwise presents Ex details. The other pin is a clean and bright Ex-Mt+ example, featuring a waist-up boxing pose photograph, with red, white and blue ribbons attached.
