Description

Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Johnny Evers returns to first base safely on this circa 1909 Spooner & Welis (New York) Type I original photograph. Measures nearly 4-1/2 x 6-1/2" with only mild surface bubbling to the glossy black-and-white finish. The reverse displays a purple publisher's stamp along with a pencil notation confirming the historic player. New York Giants first baseman Fred Tenney is also pictured in the turn-of-the-century action sequence. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
