Description

Bill Madlock H&B signature-model ("C263") bat dating from the 1977-1979 manufacturing period. The LOA from PSA/DNA states: "Outstanding use with a crack on the handle and front barrel. Some checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the front and back barrel. The handle was taped in a spiral pattern, but the tape has since been removed." This is a desirable Bill Madlock bat dating from his entire tenure with the Giants as well as the beginning of his tenure with the Pirates, as he was traded from San Francisco to Pittsburgh in June of 1979 and won the World Series as the club's starting third baseman that year. In addition to his World Series victory, Madlock's career accolades also include four National League batting titles and three All-Star Game appearances. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 33.3 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
