Philly Phanatics flock to this selection of (5) 1976-1983 Philadelphia Phillies commemorative bats. Showing light to moderate wear, these vintage Louisville Slugger bats honor big seasons and popular players.
Featured are:
1976 National League Centennial “Old Tyme Baseball, Philadelphia 8-21-76” brown bat with Liberty Bell Bicentennial logo, has a few contact marks on the barrel back.
1979 Pete Rose brown bat lettered in gold on the barrel with a facsimile signature and “200 Hits – 10 Years A Major League Record, 1979 – Phillies”. A rectangle of the finish has been stripped away on the barrel back, and this area bears a Rose signature that has been deemed non-authentic.
1980 Phillies World Champions red bats (2) with gold player facsimile signatures circling the barrels, including Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, “Tug” McGraw, and Dallas Green.
1983 Champions National League natural finish bat is limited-edition numbered “700/800”. The barrel is decorated with a Phillies 1883-1983 Centennial logo, and facsimile player signatures in black, including Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, “Tug” McGraw, Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, and Paul Owens.
Also present is a period 4x6 photograph of Pete Rose taking a playful break from a signing session of hundreds of bats in the Phillies locker room.
