Lot # 576: 1971 Keds Allsport Kids Shoes in Original Box with KedKard Lid

Kids got a little something extra in 1971, with the purchase of a pair these Keds Allsport athletic shoes. The something extra came in the form of four multi-sport trading cards, printed on the lid. While the perimeter of the lid shows considerable wear, the cards have favorably escaped any more than minor attrition. Featured stars are Willis Reed, Stan Smith (small crease at bottom), "Bubba" Smith, and Johnny Bench. The brand "Keds Allsport" is announced in large lettering, above the cards. The graphics are distinct, and the colors remain vibrant. The box is unadorned, save for one end panel printed with more branding, and stamped with "Boys Black BK 564 3M". Accented with white stripes, the black canvas shoes appear to be unused, though the stripes are moderately stained at the ends. The laces are intact, as are the Keds blue rubber labels on the heels, and the soles are marked "Made In USA".
