Description

These (14) early store model bats include some that may have been individually fabricated, as they have no stampings or markings. All of them show the kind of use you would expect from back when “The National Pastime” was truly everywhere. There are one or two with repaired cracks. The average grade is Good to Very Good.

26-inch:

Ken-Wel “Twenty-Five” Utica, NY.

29-inch:

Hillerich & Bradsby “2” National Special.

31-inch:

Spalding 188 “Socker.”

33-inch (2):

“Time Will Tell - Sundial Shoes Wear Longer” Major League;

AJ Reach Company.

34-inch (6):

“Bonnie Laddie” Time Will Tell - Wear Sundial Shoes;

thick unmarked possible homemade bat;

Spalding 200-S;

thin handle unmarked bat with plug repair in barrel;

Spalding trademark bat;

“Table leg” homemade bat with knob fashioned on an angle like the base of a leg and seems to be made from a table leg.

36-inch:

Rough fabricated bat with no markings.

37-inch:

Light possible fungo bat with no markings and string glued around center.

39-inch:

Thin possible fungo bat with no markings.
