The original Human Torch gets a welcome assist from his sidekick Toro, as seen on the front cover of this 6/43 Timely Comics Marvel Mystery Comics #44 issue. This Torch and Toro teaming has led to this red-hot Alex Schomburg cover to being deemed a classic. If you look closely, you'll see the Kremlin in peril at bottom right. There's no need to squint to recognize the colorful, high heat super-hero tandem, as they send a Third Reich bomber plane to a blazing doom. CGC has encapsulated this greatly prized comic with a grade of 2.5, Light Tan to Off-White Pages, which is a respectable rating for any Golden Age WWII era book.
