Description

Recall a singular event, with this selection of (4) 1955 World Series gameday souvenirs. This glorious “subway series” featured crosstown rivals, the Brooklyn Dodgers versus the New York Yankees. Now located in Los Angeles, the Dodgers called Brooklyn home through the 1957 season. In all their long years playing in the bustling Borough of Brooklyn, the Dodgers won a bunch of NL pennants, but just one World Series championship. It was the squad nostalgically known as “The Boys of Summer” who brought home this triumph, in this very same 1955 Fall Classic. These crisp gameday souvenirs are fantastic relics from this one and only Brooklyn Dodgers World Series triumph.

Featured are:

9/30/55 Ebbets Field Game 3 ticket stub is (VG+) due to a tiny wrinkle coming off the right edge about 1/4”, otherwise presents much better, with bold graphics;

10/1/55 Ebbets Field Game 4 ticket stub is (VG) because of a few wrinkles at the right end, otherwise just as appealing as the Game 3 stub;

1955 Dodgers-Yankees Official World Series program (EX), not scored, with a solid spine, and decent cover gloss;

Off-site scorecard (EX-MT) is neatly scored for Game 4 on 10/1/55 at Ebbets Field, with home runs by Campanella, Snider, and Hodges for the Dodgers, and McDougald for the Yankees.
