The affection Brooklynites for felt the Dodgers in those days, was commonly expressed in conversation, with “Dem Bums”. A whimsical manifestation of this love-hate relationship, this Dodgers Bum bank stands 7” tall, on a 4-1/2” x 2” base, that does not have a rubber stopper plugged into the underside. Blessed with an arresting design, bold colors, and radiant glaze, this bright, clean figural is a very attractive (NM) example. Wear is minimal, however there are two spots where it appears the glaze did not take during the factory firing, a 1/4” spot on the back of the baseball coin reservoir, and a sliver on the edge of the Bums’ left ear.
