All-time batting leader Ty Cobb is on the money with this signed check. This First National Bank of Nevada check is dated July 16, 1948. Cobb has signed on the bottom line, as "Tyrus R. Cobb," matching the printed version of his name seen at the left end. Cobb's fountain pen signature is of decent quality, and the check remains fairly crisp. Accompanying is a four-page spread from the 1932 hardcover edition of Who's Who in Baseball, including a page with Cobb's photograph and career statistics.
