Description

When you win a major award in baseball, you did well that season. When they name the major award after you, it's because you were outstanding for a long, long time. Such is the case with Cy Young, who has signed the offered album page. Young, who won 30+ games five times, and 20+ games another 11 times, has scrawled his "9" strength signature across most of the width of this 4-3/4" x 4" page. A year after the Hall of Fame hurler's departure in 1955, the top award for pitchers was named in his honor.

Renowned as "The Voice of the Yankees," Hall of Fame sportscaster Mel Allen has signed the opposite side of the page with "8.5" strength.
