Lot # 958: 1946 Ty Cobb Signed Letter with Full JSA LOA

Ty Cobb made a young Louisville fan happy just in time for Christmas when he answered an autograph request with the return of this 1946 letter. Dated December 12, 1946, this letter is written in a youth's hand, on a 5x7 sheet of thin paper. Young David Shouse wrote Cobb, stating "I would very much like to have your autograph, and I hope you will send it to me in the inclosed envelope". Cobb responded with an "8" strength signature and underline flourish at bottom of the page.
